The error 80004005 occurred whilst calling the method CArchivingAgentQueue::RestoreItem()

Cause

During the upgrade, the retrieval task identity associated with the Archive Task became corrupted and must be rebuilt.

Resolution

Note: Prior to performing the below steps, open the Messsage Queuing and confirm all pending items have been processed from all Archiving Queues (A1-A7) associated with the Archive Task in question.

1. Open the Vault Admin Console
2. Expand Enterprise Vault (EV) Servers and select the EV which contains the Mailbox Archiving Task for the Microsoft Exchange Server.
3. Right-click on the Mailbox Archiving Task and select Properties
4. Within the Archive Task Properties, select the Settings Tab.
5. Record the individual settings for the Archiving Task.
6. Select Cancel.
7. Right-click the Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task and Delete.
8. Right-click Tasks | New | Exchange Mailbox Task and recreate the Mailbox Archiving Task on the Enterprise Vault Server experiencing the error.
9. Right-click the new Archiving Task, and select Properties.
10. Select the Setting Tab and confirm all of the settings are correct.
11. Start the Mailbox Archiving Task and synchronize all mailboxes.

After upgrading Enterprise Vault users are unable restore items in OWA and the following Events are logged:
