Event Id 10009 will also be logged in the Enterprise Vault logs:
DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer
Resolution
Verify both FQDN and NetBios name resolve correctly. In some cases, it is necessary to add them the the Windows Host file, located in %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\
Issue/Introduction
When trying to contact the Directory when configuring a new EV server to an existing site, the following error is shown:
