The following actions can utilize the DCOM functionality when performed on the Primary Mailbox, however the Delegate Mailbox will always utilize the HTTP functionality:

1. Viewing the properties of Outlook folders or the mailbox root, an Enterprise Vault tab is available which shows information about the policy that has been applied.

2. When archiving an item, a dialog box is presented giving the user the following options:

Note: This functionality is by design, as the Delegate Mailbox will only use the default settings when archiving, restoring, and other Enterprise Vault functions.
