Error Message
In Outlook, click Tools, Enterprise Vault, then Vault Cache Properties. Vault Cache Properties shows “Server Too Busy”.
A client trace will show the following:
HDR:SYNC:ARC: One or more folders are still being synchronized on the server.
...
HDR:SYNC:ARC: End '1A1978E377C1D32459A0EE677778888811110000EVSVR123' ('TestUser, EV'):FAILED
HDR:SYNC:ARC: Cache '1A1978E377C1D32459A0EE677778888811110000EVSVR123', status:-8
Cause
A folder in the ExchangeMbxArchiveFolder table has an 'ExistsInMbx' value of 2.
Resolution
Perform a Run Now on the Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task against this user.
- In the Vault Administration Console expand Directory > Site_name > Enterprise Vault Servers.
- Expand Enterprise Vault server name, and click Tasks.
- Right-click on the Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task for the Exchange server which has the affected user and choose Run Now.
- Set the following:
- Run Mode: Archiving and Shortcut processing
- Number of eligible items: Archive all items
- Number of mailboxes: Select mailboxes.
- Click OK.
- Run against just the user experiencing this issue.
Note: If issue still exists then please contact the support as SQL Store Procedures may need to run manually.
Issue/Introduction
Vault Cache (VC) fails to synchronize with a "Server Too Busy" error. Resetting the VC and resynchronizing fails at the same stage.
