Description

Error Message

An error occured updating a schedule. System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'owner_sid', table 'msdb.dbo.sysjobs'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.
The statement has been terminated.

Cause

When Compliance Accelerator (CA) or Discovery Accelerator (DA) creates a Schedule for searches, the Job Owner is sa by design.  When the SQL System Account is changed from SQL System Account default 'sa', the job cannot be linked to the SQL Server Agent Jobs.

Workaround

Rename the SQL System Account back to the default of sa.

1.  Open the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) console.

2.  Expand Security and then Login.

3.  Locate and right click the System Account and select Rename.

4.  Replace the name with sa and save.
