 {FOLDER.EN_US} An error occured synchronising permissions for folder: \\?\UNC\folder and the Archive object with id: Archive_ID of the affected archive.

This issue can occur during a synchronization when the task attempts to update the file system permissions on an archive. If there is an issue with Enterprise Vault (EV) obtaining the applied permissions to the target folder, this error will be generated. An example of this would be the error below, which is presented when clicking on Properties > Security of a target folder on the file server:

The permissions on are incorrectly ordered, which may cause some entries to be ineffective

To resolve this issue, correct the problem that is causing the permissions to fail to be passed to EV. For the example above, the resolution would be to add a user with permissions, or modify an existing users permissions and then modify it back. This way the security permissions are reapplied to the folders and correct the issue.
