Error Message

The instance  is currently unavailable; an admininstrator must upgrade it  before clients can connect.

Cause

This problem typically occurs when the CA/DA configuration database was upgraded, but its customer database(s) was/were not upgraded.
 

Resolution

To confirm and resolve this issue, follow steps below:
1. From the CA or DA server, connect to the http://localhost/EVBAAdmin webpage.
2. At the top left corner, click on the CA/DA customer.
3. Right click on the CA/DA customer and select Properties.
4. At the bottom right corner, select Upgrade to upgrade the customer database (it may take several minutes/hours depending on the size of the database).
5. Once it completed, the CA/DA client should be connected successfully.
6. If there are multiple customer databases, repeat step 3 & 4 to upgrade customer databases to the current CA/DA version.
