User A does not have permissions to User B's archive

 

To add the proper access permissions:

1. Open the Vault Administration Console (VAC)

2. Expand the Archives container

3. Select Exchange Mailbox

4. Find User B's archive,  select properties, choose the Permissions tab

5. Add User A with the appropriate permissions

6. Test archiving and retrievals.

 

 

Consider the following scenario: User A has Outlook opened User A creates an Outlook profile for User B and attempts to manually archive a message in User B's mailbox. The icon turns to a pending shortcut, and back to a normal mail message icon. No error occurs in Outlook, but on the Enterprise Vault (EV) server, the Event ID error below is generated in the Event logs. In the same scenario, attempting to retrieve an archived message from User B's archive (double-clicking a shortcut), the message opens, but the brown banner across the top. Clicking the banner shows error “an internal error occurred on the web server. Error -2147020579”
