Description

At times it may be necessary to setup legal holds on an existing eDiscovery Platform(eDP) appliance.

Steps

1. Log into the eDP webpage.
2. System > Support Features > Property Browser
3. In the Name of property to change field enter:
esa.icp.litholds.isConfirmationServer
4. In the New value (leave blank to remove) field enter:
true
5. Place a check in Confirm change. Are you sure?*
6. Click Submit
7. Browse to System > Settings > General.
8. In the Administrator email address field enter an appropriate administrative email address.
9. In the SMTP server host name/IP field enter the Fully Qualified Domain Name(FQDN) of the Exchange server (e.g. exchangeserver2010.cont.com).
10. In the SMTP server authentication field enter the account and password. (These credentials are used only for Legal Holds. On issues with SMTP authentication for Exchange 2010, keep these credentials blank and enable anonymous logon for your Exchange SMTP server).
11. In the Confirmation server name/IP field enter the eDP server's FQDN or IP address.
12. In the Admin server hostname/IP* field enter the same information as step 11.
13. From the Internet Explorer client, setup "Trusted sites": Internet options > Security > Trusted sites > Sites > Add the eDP server. (https://edp-app1.edp.lab)
14. Use option 3 and then 4 of the Clearwell Utility to restart services.
