Error Message

 [#80059] Crawler read-ahead request timed out. Action: {0.EN_US}

Cause

If a loose file is very large or a message contains a large number of recipients or distribution lists, eDiscovery may not be able to process the item within the default retrieval timeout of 30 seconds (30000 milliseconds).

Resolution

  1. Log into eDiscovery with System Manager credentials and open the Property Browser in System > Support  Features.
  2. Select the case (or system): System
  3.  Name of property to change: esa.queryengine.contentretrieval.timeout.ms
  4. New value (leave blank to remove): 60000 or higher (Default = 30000)
    (This value is in milliseconds.)
  5. Restart services for the change to take effect.

Issue/Introduction

A Metadata Export with Natives may complete as a Partial Success if it contains items which cannot be processed within the default timeout period.
