The decryption of emails and documents encrypted with MS IRM requires the following pre-requisites to be met by the appliance
The MS RMS client SP2 must be installed on the appliance. See Microsoft Technet : Configuring the AD RMS client
- The appliance must be activated within AD-RMS.
- Microsoft Office 2010 must be installed on the appliance.
- Any custom IRM Protectors that are in use in the organization in DLL form must be installed using the same method of install as used on a client PC.
The following services all need to be run using accounts that have been granted full access to all RMS-protected content granted by the RMS server.
- EsaApplicationService
- EsaPSTCrawler
- EsaPSTRetriever
- EsaExchangeCrawler
- EsaExchangeRetriever
Once configured, documents and mail files will be automatically decrypted during indexing and processing.
