Some of the errors presented in this situation include:

Catalina.log:

Server.log:

Windows Event Viewer Application Log:

Event ID: 100
Level:   Warning
Details:  D:\MySQL\bin\mysqld: Forcing close of thread # user: 'esadbuser'

Cause

MySQL is not starting or has delayed start due to excessive amount of ehcache_* files in 'esa_home'\scratch\temp folder.
This causes EsaApplicationService to time out as it is dependent upon MySQL.

 

Resolution

Restart the EsaApplicationService.
A reboot or restart of services may temporarily alleviate the problem.  If this issue consistently reoccurs contact technical support and reference this article.

 

Issue/Introduction

Users are unable to log into Clearwell from a workstation or directly on the appliance. After entering credentials on the Log In page, the interface hangs without giving an error.
