Cause

The PST or OST is password protected

Resolution

  1. To enable processing the PST or OST file, open the file and re-save the file with no password.
  2. Log in to Veritas eDiscovery Platform.
  3. Select CaseName
  4. Click Sources & Pre-Processing
  5. Click Manage Sources tab
  6. Open out the source using the +
  7. Locate the Filename and check the box to the file
  8. From For Selected Items select Enable Processing
  9. Click Go
  10. From For Selected Items select Discover new files for source
  11. Click OK to the message You have chosen an action that can only be applied to an entire source
  12. The PST or OST file will now be discovered.
 

 

Issue/Introduction

When Veritas Clearwell eDiscovery encounters password protected PST or OST, the file in discovery will fail and mark as disabled.
