Cause

The Administrator User or Group setting in the Custodian Manager Customer properties in the EVBAAdmin administration web page does not contain the user or an Active Directory (AD) group that the user is a member of.

Resolution

Edit the Custodian Manager Customer properties to add the user or an AD group the user is a member of:

1. Access the EVBAAdmin administration web site from the DA server logged in as the VSA. This site can usually be access at https://localhost/evbaadmin.
2. Right-click the Custodian Manager Customer | Properties.
3. Add the user's AD account, or an AD group the user is a member of, to the Administrator User or Group field using the format domain\user_or_group_name.
4. Click OK to save the changes.

Note:
1. If an AD group is added, all members of that group will be able to access and administer the Custodian Manager web site.
2. The VSA already has full administrative permissions in the Customer database, so there is usually no need to nominate another user or group. However, you may want to do this if your company policy restricts the use of service accounts.

Issue/Introduction

When clicking on the Custodians tab in the Discovery Accelerator Client, the Address Manager link is available but the Custodian Manager link is not visible when using the Client as a user that is not the Vault Service Account (VSA).
