Alternatively, you can work around the issue by adding the restore folder temporarily to Symantec Endpoint Protection's exceptions list:

  1. In Symantec Endpoint Protection, select Change Settings and under Exceptions, click Configure Settings
  2. In the Exceptions window, click Add and select Security Risk Exception > Folder.
  3. Add the path for the file server restore location.

Remember to remove the path from the exceptions list after you have completed the NetBackup restore operation.
