Error Message

- On the client, the user will experience the following two popup messages:

- On the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway you may see the following 6287 event:

Unable to fetch item from "evservername".
Reason: The specified Saveset does not exist. (0xc0041aac)

 - May see the following on the Domino server console:

EV Housekeeping: Waiting for Enterprise Vault Directory Service to be started...

1. This issue can occur if the Storage service is not running.

2. If Domino was just upgraded it is possible that the service is now set to Log On As the Local System Account.  More evidence of this would be that you will see EV Housekeeping: Waiting for Enterprise Vault Directory Service to be started... on the Domino console.

3. This issue can also occur if archived items have been expired and removed from the archive but the shortcut is still in the user's mailbox file.  This is an orphaned shortcut.

4.  The expression out of range error can also be related to the cache.ndk file reaching the max size.  By default this is 30MBs and can be changed.

- Make sure the Storage service is running.  If not, start it.

- If the Domino service is set to Log On As the Local System Account, change this back to log on as the Enterprise Vault service account.

- Open the Enterprise Vault Administration Console.  Go into the properties for the mailbox policy.  Under the Shortcut Deletion tab select "Delete orphaned shortcuts".  Press OK button.  Now manually run the archiving task against the database in question with Run Mode set to "Shortcut Processing".

- If deleting the cache.ndk from the notes client data folder on the Enterprise Vault (EV) server and restarting the EV server resolves the issue, and this issue comes up frequently, you may want to increase the size that cache.ndk is allowed to grow to by using the notes.ini parameters UserSetCacheQuota=1 and UserCacheQuotaSize=150000.
