This article will describe how to generate a Veritas eDiscovery Activity Report, which will provide an audit trail to see what users have been doing on the appliance.
An Activity Report can be run on a case by case basis. This allows the administrator to generate a PDF or CSV with historical data that can be generated either by user or by events.
At times it may be required for the activities of a user or group of users to be monitored for security and access management or workflow purposes.
The activity report can be used to determine if several types of activities have occurred, and who initiated them.
Note: The events that are logged include:
1. Login
2. Logout
3. Timeout
4. Search
5. Tagging
6. Redaction
7. Export (Native)
8. Export (Metadata)
9. Export (Production)
10. Print (PDF)
11. Print (CSV)
12. Production
13. Production Unproduced
14. Review Preparation
15. Saved Search Modified
16. De-dup warning acknowledgment
17. Consolidation
To generate the report:
1. Login to the eDiscovery user interface with an account that has case administrator permissions
2. Select the case from the drop down list on the top left corner.
3. Click on Case Home
4. Click on Activity Reports
5. Select the criteria
6. Select the Date Range (last 7 days, 30 days, or a range between different dates.)
7. Click on Generate
