The issue is caused by either a corrupt Client installer, or the user installing the Client does not have Write permissions to the folder containing the Client installer.
1. Uninstall the Client.
2. Delete the Client install location. The default install location is in the user's profile under \appdata\local\Symantec Corporation\. For example:
C:\Users\evuser\AppData\Local\Symantec Corporation\Enterprise Vault Accelerators
3. Download a new version of the Client.
4. Reinstall the Client.
Note: Antivirus and certain web browsers can corrupt installer files. If this issue continues, it is recommended to try downloading the installer using a different web browser and exclude the download location from antivirus scanning.
