Resolution

  1. Manually testing documents outside of the eDiscovery product is possible using the steps listed in the article below:
  2. Install the XPS Viewer through Server Manager | Features | Add Features (See Figure 1)
  3.  Right click the test document and click the Print option.
  4. Select the Microsoft XPS Document Writer and click OK.
  5. A "Save the file as" dalog window will display.  Name and Save the xps file.
  6. Locate the file and double click to open the file with XPS Viewer.


RESOLUTION:
Convert the PDF document to an XPS acceptable document through Acrobat Distiller and process the new PDF files (See Figure 3).

Acrobat Distiller is a 'virtual PostScript printer'.  The Distiller produced PDFs are literal "printouts" without links or embedded formatting code.
