Enterprise Vault error:

Could not read the version information for the Enterprise Vault server running on “Cluster Group name”.
Reason: The RPC server is unavailable

Cause

This issue could occur if the Windows Firewall is enabled and it has not been configured for Enterprise Vault Distributed COM (DCOM) services.

 

Resolution

Verify if the Windows Firewall is enabled in the Windows cluster node. If that is the case, then disable the Windows Firewall on the node or configured the Windows Firewall for Enterprise Vault Distributed COM (DCOM) services.
