Your Clearwell secure store is invalid for this cluster.  Please contact support to help resolve the issue.

Cause

Corrupt of invalid license secure store database.

Resolution

To resolve this error, use the following steps:

  1. Open a command prompt in the directory.
    Example:  D:\CW\v100
  2. Type "b quota-admin -- -command sign -stores all" and hit enter.
    Note:  If you copy the command from this page, paste it into a text editor first to remove any non-ASCII characters.
  3. Once the command completes, log out and then back into eDiscovery to see if the error has been resolved

Issue/Introduction

When migrating the eDiscovery server from a physical machine to a virtual machine, updating the eDiscovery license, or sometimes after a power failure, the error "Your Clearwell secure store is invalid for this cluster." can appear at the top of the eDiscovery UI in a red box. The link on this error takes you to the eDiscovery licensing screen, but this is not a licensing issue. This is an error in the secure store that will need to be cleared in order for licenses to be added/installed.
