The following ports are used by eDiscovery Platform and are administered by the firewall on the appliance which is controlled by the Application Service Account.
The configuration of these ports is a requirement during the installation process.
Below is a list of ports used by major components of eDiscovery Platform:
- 21: FTP
- 22: SSH, SCP/SFTP
- 25: SMTP - Required for confirmation server messages.
- 53: DNS
- 80: HTTP - Web port
- 88: Kerberos - Required for user authentication.
- 123: NTP - Required when using a cluster so all servers are time synced.
- 135 - 139: Required by NETBIOS to enable various network related communications: Microsoft file sharing SMB: User Datagram Protocol (UDP) ports and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) ports. Used for File Share Collection & Desktop Collection. Must be Bi-Directional.
- 389: LDAP - Required if the appliance is using LDAP connections.
- 443: HTTPS - Secure web port
- 445: Port that uses the SMB or CIFS protocol. This is used for File Share and PC Collections. This must be Bi-Directional.
- 636: LDAPs - Required if using LDAPs (Secured) connection.
- 2595: Reserved for eDiscovery Platform as the main application port for JAVA.
- 3000: PrizmDoc Application Services (PAS)
- 3306: Used by MySQL to enable remote database access. Must be used with an eDiscovery Platform cluster or if a separate MySQL server is being used.
- 3389: Microsoft RDP - Useful for troubleshooting and Remote Access.
- 7070: IGC logging - Used for Native Rendering logs and information.
- 8005: Tomcat Shutdown
- 9001-9027: IGC Processing
- 9050-9079: Remote IGC Processing
- 10116: Brava Enterprise License Server (BelsService)
- 18000, 18001, 18681, 19000-19199: PrizmDoc Server
- 25002: Nexidia Search Grid Gateway Public
- 25100: Nexidia Search Grid Message Broker
- 25101: Nexidia Search Grid Gateway Database
- 25102: Nexidia Search Grid Gateway HTTP
- 25122: Nexidia Search Grid Base HTTP
- 38501: PrizmDoc Ms-Office-Conversion-Service
- 41734: Muhimbi Document Converter Service (Image Helper)
- 43000-45999: Search Cache Component
- 46022-46027: Scaleout Tranparent Prediction Job
- 46030-46039: Indexer
- 46040-46049: XML Export
- 46080-46999: Remote Text Engine
- 47010-47011: 32 Bit Components
- 48010-48019: Index Validator
- 48030-48039: Index Statistic
- 48040-48049: Imaging Analysis
- 48050-48059: Topic Classifier Ports (Deprecated)
NOTE: A scan of ports in use may reveal other ports from the dynamic port range being used. These ports are ephemeral and assigned by Windows on a dynamic basis as needed. To view the dynamic port range available to Windows, please run these commands:
