Error Message

An account specified in the Run As profile Symantec.EnterpriseVault.MonitoringProfile cannot be resolved.

 

Cause

In operations manager when associating the 'Run as account'  to the EV Monitoring profile, If we select the EV Monitoring account and 'All Targeted Objects' then other Managed agent status changes to critical with error as 'An account specified in the Run As profile 'Symantec.EnterpriseVault.MonitoringProfile’ cannot be resolved'.

Resolution

  • Go to Operations Manager and click on Administration node.
  • Expand 'Run As Configuration' and select 'Profiles'.
  • Right click on Veritas Enterprise Vault Monitoring Profile and select properties.

  • Go to 'Run As Accounts' section and remove the added account if any.
  • Click on Add, under Run As Account -> select EV Monitoring account.
  • Select Radio Button 'A Selected class, group, or object' option.
  • Click on the Select button and choose 'Object'.

  

  • Click on the Drop down menu and select 'Windows Computer'.
  • Click on Search.
  • Add all the EV Servers and click on ok.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  •  Click on ok then click on Save and Close.
