Email Item Indexed via Load file fails to Export

Cause

The ingested native of the email item is over 50Mb in size.

By default Clearwell has a size limit of 50Mb for exporting email documents.

This limit can be adjusted by changing a property in Clearwell.

Resolution

  1. Log in to Veritas Clearwell eDiscovery as a user with system administrator privileges
  2. Click System
  3. Click Support Features
  4. Select Property Browser  from the Choose a Support Feature
  5. Select System from the Select the case (or system) option
  6. Enter esa.crawler.eml.maxSizeinMB in the Pattern to match option (please note this is case sensitive)
  7. Click Submit
  8. It will display esa.crawler.eml.maxSizeinMB   =   if the value has been set previously and is not the default, make a note of the previous value
  9. Remove esa.crawler.eml.maxSizeinMB   from Pattern to match
  10. Enter esa.crawler.eml.maxSizeinMB   in Name of property to change
  11. Enter 80 in New value (leave blank to remove)
  12. Check the Confirm change.Are you sure? option
  13. Click Submit
  14. The new value of esa.crawler.eml.maxSizeinMB  will be displayed.
  15. Restart services on the appliance, using option 3, then option 4 on the Clearwell Utility
  16. Re-run the export

 

 

 

Issue/Introduction

Attempting an Export results in a XML Export Null error on specific Doc IDs. The failed items are emails and are over 50 megabytes in size.
