Scenario 1:  A Journal mailbox has been moved to a different Exchange server and needs to be changed in the Vault Admin Console.

1. Create a user account and mailbox in Active Directory called EVSystemMailbox (or something similar). This is to be used as the system mailbox for the new task.

This account should be in the default users organizational unit (OU) so that no group policy governs it.

2. If the Exchange server does not exist as a target, add the new Exchange server to the archiving targets in the Vault Administration Console (VAC) (Figure 1). Otherwise skip to Step 3.

7. In the Archives container, right-click on the journal archive and select the "Properties/Permissions" tab to add the journal mailbox full permissions.

8. Start the new Journal task and monitor the mailbox via Outlook to confirm functionality

Scenario 2: Moving a Journal Task from one EV server to another

1. On the originating EV server, stop the Journal task and monitor the MSMQ's until they are clear (J1, J2, J3)

2. If the originatng server will be retired, a new journal archive needs to be created on the new server

3.Follow steps 2-8 above.
Note, on Step 4, select the same system mailbox that the original task used on the old server. This can be verified by viewing Settings tab on the properties of the task
Note, on Step 6, choose the new archive that was created in Step 2 above
