Description

Error Message

No error is presented.

Cause

When search results are exported to MSG or PST using CA or DA, BCC recipients are not added to the exported messages. This is by design, as the display of exported messages to MSG/PST is a function of Microsoft Outlook, which does not display BCC recipients when reviewing messages.

Resolution

As Microsoft Outlook does not display BCC information, a new Export configuration option exists in CA and DA labeled Include journal recipients in reports.  When selecting this option during the creation of a new Export, any recipients available in the Microsoft Exchange Journal Envelope (also referred to as the Journal Report, P1 report or P1 headers) will be listed in the Export Report per message, regardless of their placement in the TO, CC and BCC fields. The Export Report is created in the same Output Folder specified in the Export upon completion of the Export.

Notes:
  1. The Include journal recipients in reports option does not include recipient information from Domino.
  2. Starting with DA 14.3.0, a new Include Journal Envelope option has been added to the new Export configuration options.  This option allows exporting SMTP items with Journal Reports to be exported as the Journal Report with the original message shown as an attachment.  Exchange MSG items will show all recipients on one line in the original message.  The Journal Report contains the Author and all Recipients in the To, Cc and Bcc fields.  If Distribution List (DL) expansion is enabled, then the members of DLs will also be shown.
