Cause

When running the Mailbox Archiving Task in Report mode the report will show zero in the column for 'No of archivable items' and 'No of items ready to archive'.  This can occur if the 'Archive Exchange Managed Folders' is set to Off.

 

Resolution

  1. Open the Vault Admin Console, expand Policies and Mailbox.
  2. Open the Exchange Mailbox Policy properties, click on the Advanced tab, select Archiving General from the drop down list.
  3. Click Modify on the Archive Exchange Managed Folders setting and set the value to Managed or Normal depending on the environment.
  4. Perform a synchronize on the Exchange Mailbox task, then run the Mailbox Archiving Task in report mode.

Issue/Introduction
