Cause
Enterprise Vault binary files mismatch.
Resolution
When a Discovery Accelerator (DA) is not the same server as the Enterprise Vault (EV), chances are that the Enterprise Vault installation on the DA has a different version or service pack than the one on the EV server. To resolve this issue, install the same version of EV and service pack on the DA server so its binary files match the ones on the EV server.
To confirm if the EV installation on the DA server is the same as on the EV server, check the following registry key:
- On the DA server, go to a Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install\version.
- On the EV server, go to a Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install\version.
- Make sure their versions are the same.
