To configure Vault Cache on a Lotus Notes Client machine perform the following:
1) Create Local replica of the user's mailbox on the client machine.
2) Replicate the databases from the server to the local machine.
3) Ensure that 'Enable scheduled local agents' is selected in the user preference:
From the Notes menu, select File, then Tools, and then User Preferences.
Under Startup Options, select Enable scheduled local agents.
Exit, and then restart Notes.
4) Ensure that the database property 'Disable background agents for this database' is not selected in the mail replica database.
Select File, then Database, then Properties to display the InfoBox.
Ensure that Disable background agents for this database is not selected.
5) Open the Local Replica of the Mailbox while Online (Location : Office Network)
6) Verify that the Database EVoffline.nsf is created. This file can be found in \notes\data directory of the client machine.
