Description
To reset Vault Cache from an Outlook client
- Press CTRL + SHIFT together and one of the Enterprise Vault buttons on the Enterprise Vault Tab of the Outlook Client.

- This will bring up the Enterprise Vault Diagnostics window.
- Press Reset to trigger the process to rebuild the Vault Cache or Partial Reset to affect the Metada Cache.

The options available are as follows:
Reset
- Deletes all Metadata & Content Cache files.
- Forces a full synchronization and initializes download.
Note: Please be aware that resetting the Vault Cache will require Outlook to be closed and re-opened before the rebuild of Vault Cache can occur. Reset will remove all the cached data along with the emails present in the ToArchive folder added as a part of preemptive archiving (Unarchived emails). All previous Vault Cache content will be required to be downloaded again.
Partial Reset
- Just affects all the Metadata Cache.
- Forces a full synchronization and initializes download.
