'Access Denied' error message after a specific number of file have been recalled.

Resolution

Changes can be made to the file recall settings via the Enterprise Vault Administration Console.
 
Expand the Directory on Server > Site > Targets > File Servers.  Right-click on the NetApp Filer and choose Properties, then click the NetApp tab.
 
1. Increase the Limit Recalls to a maximum of setting
 
or

2. Select the option to Ignore recall limits for local administrators.

 
 
Once the changes have been made the Enterprise Vault services must be restarted for them to take effect.
 

 

Issue/Introduction

The Enterprise Vault File Placeholder Service for Netapp filers has a default recall limit of 20 recalls in 10 seconds. When this limit is reached the user will receive the Access Denied error message.
