IIS log on Enterprise Vault (EV) Server, getslotwithserver.aspx call shows Error 500.

Cause

Incorrect configuration in Desktop Policy.

Resolution

This issue can be resolved by correcting the RPC proxy URL in Desktop policy applied to affected users.

1. Login to Enterprise Vault (EV) Server using Vault Service Account (VSA) account credentials.
2. Open Vault Admin Console (VAC), expand policies >> exchange >> Desktop.
3. Open relevant policy, select Advanced Tab, select Outlook in drop down.
4. Confirm RPC Over HTTP proxy URL is set to use HTTPS.
For eg. https://owa.abc.com/enterprisevault.
5. Change the URL if required to use HTTPS and synchronize the users from Archiving Task properties.

 

 

Issue/Introduction

When user connected to exchange using RPC Over HTTP profile, Vault Cache sync does not complete and Vault Cache properties show
Error: Never synchronized.
