"List Error: The server threw an exception"

Resolution

  1. On the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway (EVDG) ensure that  the Lotus Notes is closed.
     
  2. On the EVDG browse to \Lotus\Notes\Data via Windows explorer.
     
  3. Find and delete the cache.ndk file.
     
  4. Restart Lotus Notes. (This will recreate the cache.ndk file).
     
  5. Attempt to add a Domino Provisioning Group.

Note: If you receive the List Error again perform the following steps.
  1. Save a copy of the user.id (archiving id) to the desktop. This file can be found in \Lotus\Notes.
     
  2. Uninstall Lotus Notes from the EVDG.
     
  3. Delete the entire \Lotus\Notes directory from the EVDG.
     
  4. Reinstall Lotus Notes.
     
  5. Attempt to add a Domino Provisioning Group.
