Description

Error Message

From iNotes (not showing the file names)

From Lotus Notes (showing the file names)

Workaround

In order to prevent the issue from occurring it is possible to implement on all the user's notes.ini the setting:

AttachmentsUseCaption=0

It makes the attachment to have the caption (attachment name) burned into the icon-

Cause

With the aforementioned mailbox policy setting the Enterprise Vault archiving task converts the attachments into resource hotspots, replacing the file property with a resource link property (a URL). The caption of the resource link property is not shown in iNotes and this is the cause of the missing file name.

Issue/Introduction

In a scenario with the Domino Mailbox Policy set to 'Use Message Body' for 'Content of Shortcut body' and not MIME items, the shortcuts created do not show the attachment name in the preview pane for iNotes
