Error Message

After some time, while the PST export processes, Event ID 6469: An exception has occurred. [Internal reference CArchiveRestorer/RS/ce] appears numerous times until the export has completed.  The process could take hours depending on the size of the archive.

Due to the size limitation of EV, a PST file can not be created that is larger than 20 GB.

The option for "Limit the size of the individual destination files to:" in the Export Archive wizard needs to to be set to less than 20000MB, to prevent export errors of archives that are larger than this size.

To access that wizard, please do the following :

1. On the Enterprise Vault (EV) console, right-click on the Archives heading on the left hand side of the screen

2. Click on Export, and that will open up a wizard that will guide you to export an archive, either to a PST, or to its original mailbox

3. When you reach the 5th screen on that wizard, there is an option for "Limit the size of the individual destination files to:"

4. Ensure this is set less than 20000 MB to prevent export errors of archives larger than this size.

2010 has a 50 GB default size

Enterprise Vault:
8.0 +, 9.0+ If you do not specify a value for maximum the wizard enforces a maximum size of 1500 MB.
10.0+ Does not enforce a maximum PST export size if not set, but does not allow PSTs to grow larger than 20GB's
