[#41069] Total number of recipients in this search exceeds the configured limit of 50,000 for search report export

Cause

The Veritas eDiscovery platform, by default, uses Microsoft Excel Worksheet (.xlsx) format for search reports, which supports up to 50,000 recipients. If needed to run a search report that contains greater than 50,000 recipients CSV format is the only format supported.   

Resolution

The name of the properties to change are esa.queryengine.csvreport.maxparticipants and esa.queryengine.searchreports.csvformat. The way to modify this (it’s a global setting across the appliances) is as follows:

1. Login to eDiscovery as a System Manager.
2. Go to System > Support Features and select the Property Browser feature.
3. Use the drop down to select SYSTEM
4. In the Name of property to change field, copy/paste the following: esa.queryengine.csvreport.maxparticipants
5. In the New value (leave blank to remove) field, type in the desired value.
6. Click the Confirm change. Are you sure? box.
7. Click Submit

NOTE: You can change the value up to 1 million.

When performing a search in eDiscovery, if the number of recipients found exceeds a default value the following errors are are occur.
