Cause

Stellent is the third party application that Clearwell uses for reviewing documents and generating views. Stellent, along with IGC (another third party application used by the Clearwell application), are used for displaying documents. In the Native view, IGC is used first and if the document fails to render with IGC it is then passed to Stellent. This is also why a message from Stellent is displayed in Native View mode.

Resolution

Check the file type of the source document and confirm whether or not it is supported by Clearwell. One reason this error could appear is if the files are password protected, in which case the native view mode would give this error. A quick switch to Text View should tell us if password protection is the cause of this problem.
