Exchange Server: EVSERVER
Mailbox: SMTP:systemmailbox@company.com
Error: 0x8007000e
V-437-3411
Type: Error
Source: Enterprise Vault
Category: Archive Task
User: N/A
Computer: EVSERVER
Description:
Could not create a new MAPI session on Exchange server 'EVSERVER'.
The most likely cause is a connection issue that is causing excessive delays in the task. This can often be recovered by restarting the MAPI related tasks.
Internal References:
Unable to get exclusive access to the MAPI thread pool.
Mutex name: EnterpriseVaultProfileMutex 119BCD41F6FF7B54EB663CFA22D1139171011z00varchive
Reason: WAIT_TIMEOUT (10 mins)
V-437-3230
Cause
The following are two reasons for these errors. Note that there could be others. (See related articles below)
1. The number of concurrent connections on the archiving tasks (Mailbox, Public Folder and/or Journal) are too high surpassing the possible amount of MAPI connections.
2. In conjunction with archiving tasks, there could also be many PST Migrations in progress which also utilize MAPI. The default is 10 concurrent migrations.
Resolution
1. Reduce the concurrent connections on the archiving tasks to the default (5) and restart the tasks.
2. Reduce the concurrent PST Migrations on the properties of the PST Migrator Task.
Note that it may also be required to tweak the archiving task schedules to minimize the amount of MAPI connections and issues with archving.
Issue/Introduction
