PST Import fails when using the Admin Console

You must choose PSTs from a share point or mapped drive so that the Migration Server on %servername% can access them.

Cause

This occurs in two scenarios:
  • When the Vault Admin Console (VAC) is installed on a Non-EV server/workstation and choosing a PST that is local to this server/workstation
  • Running the Import Wizard on an EV server that is not running the Storage Server (or the service is offline/stopped)

 

Resolution

To correct this issue, ensure the PST's are located local on an EV server running the storage service. 

On the server/workstation running the VAC remotely, map a network drive to the EV server hosting the PST files and Storage Service.
