Error Code: 57
Description:Unable to find index volume for the archive
[1A2F7V085EEA6FB48A82CCF4D3829E8CC1110000EVSite] with a highest index sequence number of [XXX] or below

Resolution

Veritas Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Veritas Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time. However, this particular issue is not currently scheduled for any release. WORKAROUND 1

- Archive a single item in the empty archive.

- Convert the index to 64bit .

WORKAROUND 2

- Delete the empty archive.

- Recreate the archive as new, which will create a new 64 bit index. 


Applies To

Enterprise Vault 10 or above.

Issue/Introduction

The issue affects empty archives when the  the "DeleteEmptyFolders" registry key has been utilized.  When upgrading to  Enterprise Vault 10.0.0 or above and when attempting to upgrade these empty archives to 64 bit indexes this fails.
