Starting the Enterprise Vault (EV) Task Controller service will generate an Event ID 4190 in the Windows event viewer. Other symptoms may include a Mailbox Archiving Task or Exchange Provisioning Task displaying an Error status.  This is generated because Microsoft .NET Framework needs to be reinstalled.

1. Re-install Microsoft.NET Framework on the Enterprise Vault server.
    
2. Restart the Enterprise Vault server.
    
3. If the issue remains (Event 4190 is logged in Enterprise Vault event log) when the Task Controller Service is started, please re-install the Enterprise Vault binary files over the existing installation.  
   
   Note: Please ensure that you have good backup of your Enterprise Vault system before implementing this step.
