Cause

In order for an item to be captured for review, Compliance Accelerator requires an item to be tagged with:
  1. A Department ID associated with a Monitored Employee that is associated to a recipient or author of an item.
  2. A message direction of 1, 2 or 3 (1 = Internal, 2 = External Inbound, 3 = External Outbound).

The Compliance Accelerator Journal Connector is responsible for tagging an item with the Department ID.  The Journal Task is responsible for tagging the message with a message direction based on the internal SMTP addresses within the organization.

In order for Bloomberg XML messages to be searchable, they need to be converted from XML to MSG and ingested into a Journal mailbox that is processed by a Journal Task that has a Journal Connector properly configured.  At that point, they will pass through the Journal Connector to be properly tagged with the Department ID tags.

Resolution

Obtain third party software to convert the Bloomberg XML message to MSG format and ingest the message through a Journal mailbox that is archived through a Journal Task that has a Journal Connector installed and active to provide for the proper CA Department ID tagging.
