Resolution
1. On the EV server reporting the Event ID, right-click My Computer
2. Select Properties | Advanced Tab | Environment Variables button
3. Under System variables, select New
3. In the Variable name field enter the following: Centera_PEA_Location
4. In the Variable value field enter the following: <Location of the PEA file> to include path and file name
5. Restart the EV server
6. Repeat the steps on all EV Servers in the environment
Note: If this does not resolve the issue a Dtrace of the StorageOnlineOpns process on the EV server should give more details on the error. Please see Related articles for Dtrace information.

Issue/Introduction
An Event ID 6761 will be generated if a message is unable to be retrieved from the Centera device. This may occur when a Pool Entry Authorization (PEA) file is in use with the Centera and configured on the partition but is not entered in the Environment Variables on the Enterprise Vault (EV) server.
