Error Message

Internal Error 2755. 3

Resolution

Details:
When installing an application using as MSI-based Installer, this error can occur when the MSI is installed from a remote path (EX. \\Servername\D$\Enterprise Vault\Outlook Add-Ins\Outlook Add-In\English\EVClient_en.msi) or shared network drive.  This error is most commonly linked to a lack of permissions to the installer folder.

Resolutions\Workarounds:

1.  Resolve permissions issue.
Ex.  Microsoft recommends to resolve this problem, check the permissions on the Installer folder, destination directory, local temp folder and all relevant resources and make sure none of these locations are using encryption. The permissions on the Windows file system folders should be at least Everyone - Read; Administrators - Full; System - Full.

2. Install the Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-in locally (on the Citrix server), not from a remote session or from a network location. (i.e. Remote Desktop, Terminal Services, UNC Path, Shared network resource..)

Note: Any MSI component can experience this error, with and without Citrix/Terminal Server involved.  This can include any version of the Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-in as well as the local MSI installer for the FSA Placeholder.

If the above recommendations do not resolve this issue, it is recommended to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance, since this is an MSI-based issue and not directly due to the creation of the Application package.
