The following message could not be processed by an external filter and has been moved to the 'Failed External Filter' folder.

 

Cause

To function properly, the CA Journal Connector requires that one CA customer be configured with a blank VaultID(s): field (See Figure 1 in the Solution section of this document).  The CA Journal Connector resolves each item processed by the Journal Task to a specific VaultID.   If the VaultID is not directly associated with a specific CA customer or cannot be resolved, then the Journal Connector will attempt to apply the message to the customer with the blank VaultID(s): field.  If the Journal Connector does not find a default customer, it will cease to process any additional items causing the Event ID Error 1 above.

Event ID Errors 2, 3 and 4 above are also seen.

 

Resolution

1) Logon to the EVBAAdmin web page on the Compliance Accelerator (CA) server using the Vault Service Account.
2) Open the properties page of the default customer by right clicking on the customer name in the left panel and selecting the Properties option.
3) Edit and remove all entries in the VaultID(s): field (See Figure 1).

4) Save the customer properties.
5) Restart the Task Controller Service on the Enterprise Vault Journaling servers.
