Cause

Microsoft has removed some of the deprecated functions from Internet Explorer 11 Compatibility View settings. For more information about the compatibility changes in Internet Explorer 11 see:

Resolution

Select Inbox or any folder in the left pane of Archive Explorer to refresh the view.

Alternatively, we recommend that you use the new Enterprise Vault Search provided in Enterprise Vault 11.0.1 or later. For more about the Enterprise Vault Search feature, see the Feature Briefing.

Issue/Introduction

When you launch Archive Explorer or any other legacy search application using Internet Explorer 11 (using Compatibility View) and click the Refresh button in the right pane, you may encounter one of the following issues:
  • Internet Explorer fails to respond.
  • Internet Explorer displays the following error:
    "An error has occurred in the script on this page - Object doesn't support property or method 'attachEvent'. Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?”
