EV blocks archiving requests through a users Search Folders outlook folder, by design. The 3rd-party application iManage Work Communication Server (WCS) ​ uses two search folders called WCSE_FolderMappings and WCSE_SFMailboxSync with certain search criteria to filter messages from a users mailbox. To avoid users manipulating these search folders, they are created outside of the well-known location Search Folders in the users mailbox. These folders are not visible to the end user.

Once these hidden search folders have eligible mails within them they are picked up by the EV archiving task as normal mail items to be archived. As these folders are essentially Search Folders Enterprise Vault cannot implement all of the required configuration within the folders. Thus, the items are archived again on every archiving run causing many duplicates within the archive.
