Cause

Any attempt to add a user from the System > User page in the User Interface forces entry of a password.  This action changes the user account to a Local User and subsequently disables the Header Authentication.

Resolution

Workaround:

Add a user from the  Case Home > Users page which does does not require a password. When the user is added in this location they remain an Enterprise User when Header based authentication is enabled.

Note: If the user has been created before the workaround, the database will have to be manually updated. Please contact support and a backline TSE will assist if database modification is required. Please be sure to have a node/system backup.
