"You are not authorized to perform that operation" error occurs when replying to a shortcut from Notes client

You are not authorized to perform that operation

Cause

When a user try to [Reply] to an Enterprise Vault shortcut, Enterprise Vault client for Lotus Notes download the body of the shortcut item to an temporary item on the user's mail database. Then Enterprise Vault client executes regular [Reply] action of Notes to accomplish the [Reply] action for the shortcut. Immediate after that, Enterprise Vault client try to delete the temporary item on the user's mail database and this action causes the error messages.

This issue has been addressed in the following release:

Issue/Introduction

"You are not authorized to perform that operation" error occur if a Domino user doesn't have [Delete documents] permission on his/her own mail database and try to [Reply] to Enterprise Vault shortcut, while the user has rights to [Reply] to the shortcut/email.
