Issue/Introduction

When exporting archived items from an archive to PST files, the operation may fail if a large number of PST files are created by the export process. This issue is more likely to happen if the "Limit the size of individual destination PST files to:" option has been selected in the Export to PST File wizard.

An indication that the problem being experienced is the one described in this article can be found in both the Enterprise Vault event log and a Dtrace of MigratorServer. The MAPI error code logged in the event message and the dtrace (0x80040119) is not unique to this issue, however the "Component" string that is logged with this MAPI error code is a reliable indicator of the problem. Please see the Error Message section of this article for details on these errors.
